The Young Professionals Symposium – International Workshop for Future Antennas 2026 (YPS-IWFA 2026) will be hosted by the University of Technology Sydney (UTS) and Auckland University of Technology (AUT), on 17–18 December 2026 in Sydney, Australia, and 21–22 December 2026 in Auckland, New Zealand.

YPS-IWFA 2026 aims to establish a globally oriented, high-quality international forum dedicated to advancing research, collaboration, and professional development in antennas, propagation, electromagnetics, and emerging electromagnetic technologies. Particular emphasis will be placed on supporting early-career and mid-career Young Professionals (YPs) as future leaders of the field, while maintaining strong engagement from senior academics and industry experts to foster mentorship, knowledge transfer, and meaningful professional connections and collaboration.

A key highlight of YPS-IWFA 2026 will be three dedicated IEEE AP-S Technical Committee (TC) Workshops, bringing together focused technical communities and leading researchers across key areas of antennas, propagation, and electromagnetic technologies. In Sydney, 17 December will feature the TC2 Workshop Arrays: Antenna Arrays and Systems in the morning and the TC4 Workshop Metamaterials: Electromagnetic Materials and Devices, Metamaterials, Metasurfaces, Metastructures in the afternoon, each as a half-day program. In Auckland, 21 December will be dedicated to the TC11 Workshop Health & Medicine: Imaging, Sensing, Medicine, Health, Services as a full-day program. These TC Workshops will provide focused platforms for technical exchange, emerging research discussions, and engagement among Young Professionals, senior researchers, and industry experts. On 18 December, the program will be held in the Hunter Valley, combining academic activities and professional networking with an opportunity to experience the local culture.
